Celebration of 100 years Schweizerischer Rottweilerhunde-club

On behalf of the IFR, I offer our sincere congratulations on the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Schweizerischer Rottweilerhunde-club to the club, its board and its members.

I thank them for their continued trust, support and commitment to our beloved breed.

It is this commitment and the hard work of our breed clubs that ensures the preservation and future of the Rottweiler.

I wish the club a successful celebration and, of course, an even more successful future.

Passing of Mr. H. Weiler - our condoleances

We learned of the passing of Mr. Helmut Weiler, ADRK - Zuchtrichter/Körmeister.

With him, we lose an internationally valued and respected specialist judge and breeder, an true friend and defender of our beloved breed.

On behalf of all Rottweiler enthusiasts, I offer our sincere condolences to his family and friends.

IFR World Championships 2021 - Meeting of Delegates

Dear Rottweiler Friends,

It seems that nothing stands in the way anymore to organize, participate and attend the IFR World Championships 2021 IGP III and IFH I + II.

We look forward to a great event !

IFR World Championships ... things are looking good !!!

Today, we heard from our Hungarian friends that the national anti COVID-19 vaccination level and the associated government measures are evolving very favourably.

The measures have already been relaxed to such an extent and further expectations are so positive that it looks like the World Championships will be able to go ahead without too much hindrance.

All IFR delegates, including those of your national Rottweiler Association, are kept informed of this evolution, incl. travel restrictions and measures that may still apply on the spot.     Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact them and/or the organisation for further info.

With friendly greetings,

D. Vandecasteele.

Unfounded rumours : the IFR World Championships are NOT cancelled.

Dear Rottweiler Friends,

It seems that the recent cancellation of the FCI IGP World Championship 2021 is causing questions, even unfounded rumours.

We can of course not guarantee that the pandemic will not spoil also our event, but at this moment the IFR World Championships IGP and IFH 2021 are NOT cancelled nor is there any indication that we must consider such decision.     To the contrary, it seems that the pandemic is slowly under control and that measures, incl. restrictions on traveling, are everywhere being lifted.    Our friends in Hungary confirm that they are doing their utmost best to organize the event as successfully as possible

To avoid a further spread of unfounded rumours, I would be thankful should you forward this message to the people who are responsible for the selection of your teams.

All Delegates will be promptly brought up to date should there be new information that might influence the above.  It might however be helpful should all Delegates keep us also up to date about the situation in their country and possible restrictions for their participation to our IFR World Championships.

With friendly greetings,

D. Vandecasteele

IFR-President.
